I use Duracell's 2650 mAh recharables. I take an average of 800 photos a day. I don't have to switch out batteries during the day. Big Plus in my book. I shoot 99% in Auto mode, use the zoom and turn it on/off about 50 times, and don't have to worry about a thing. This is the best point and shoot cam for someone that just wants sharp colors, great contrast, and a wide enough lense to capture it all. I photo houses and damage. This is the best Point and Shoot cam, with the best results I have ever used. It takes professional looking photos, but is light weight and fully automatic, or fully manual if you should choose. Also, I hardly ever have to use the flash, it works so well in low light (dark garages) and auto adjusts the photos contrast for me.
