Reviewed by Paul Fallows on 19/06/2007 A good camera for a beginner.Handles well. Dislike : Build quality feels a bit plastic and cheap. The locking, sliding cover for the baterries on mine is a bit cheap and does not easily snap back in after replacing batteries.Looks like it could be prone to break. Time will tell !! Rating:
Reviewed by Anthony Salvage on 05/06/2006 To describe the camera effectively in full detail would be an effort in futility, seeing as I'd have to write an essay. I've had the camera now for 6 months and am only beginning to fully use some of the seemingly hundreds of manual options that Fuji have managed to cram into the camera. The most impressive part for me is the zoom, meaning pictures of buildings/objects over 2 miles away come out crisp and clear - be it with the black and white option, the chrome option or normal colour. The use of the anti-shake option is great as well, allowing good use without a tripod...or perhaps use the quick action option to capture clear trickling water or goals being scored!! Battery life seems fine too, as long as a few good quality rechargeables are purchased. The only tip I would give to buyers is spend the extra to get the larger memory card - as you can then store around 200 images at full resolution so you get to keep all the shots, not just the good ones. To sum up this is an amazing camera for a good price, meaning budding amateurs like myself can use the automatic settings to create fantastic pictures with ease until they start to delve into the well explained instruction manual and begin experimenting with the finer points of the camera! So what are you waiting for, this is the camera for you! Rating:
