Fuji FinePix F10 Zoom
Product Rating
The Fuji FinePix F10 Zoom is a powerful new addition to Fuji's sleek "F" range. It comes with a generous 6.3 megapixels, 3x optical zoom and 6.2x digital zoom. The LCD monitor is huge at 2.5" and, according to Fuji "adjusts itself to the level of ambient light at the time of shooting. If you move from bright sunlight into dark indoors, the LCD automatically gains in illumination to enable you to see all of the detail of the shot."
"Pushing the playback button enables photographs to be reviewed almost instantly, even when the camera is switched off. A new playback function allows you to see the last three shots you took, whilst simultaneously composing your next photograph." (Fuji.)
The screen refresh rate is 60 frames per second. The shutter time lag is just 0.01 seconds. There are just 1.1 seconds between frames for consecutive shots and 1.3 seconds needed for start-up.
The sensitivity range of the Fuji FinePix F10 Zoom is ISO 80 - ISO 1600 which means that the camera can deliver good photographic results in much lower light levels than conventional digital cameras. Ultra-high sensitivity and faster shutter speeds generate photographs with less blurring from camera movement and subject movement.
Fuji claim the battery life will deliver 500 shots which should be enough to keep you going.
Listed under the optional accessories is an underwater housing case.

Reviewed by Steve on 08/09/2006 I purchased this camera when it first released over a year ago. The pro's: battery lasts forever, fast boot up speed, large screen. My biggest complaint is a lot of pictures are blurry. I have tried every setting to try to compensate. The reviews I read all stated how crisp the pictures etc. Even when the pic's come out clean they are still not even close in quality to my old Canon D40. (The Canon takes forever to take a boot up and take a picture). Having had the camera for over a year and knowing 2 other people with this camera...all reporting the same issues...I would have to say try something else. Rating:
Reviewed by Mark Byrne on 29/04/2006 A brilliant, brilliant camera. It may not be the most configurable and manual adjustments are limited, but the ability to be able to take a camera to a concert and get excellent pictures from the back of the arena in low light is outstanding. The battery life is another very strong feature. I haven't counted the number of pictures to see whether it can take 500 between charges but it must be close. It gives you freedom from worrying about being able to take as many pictures as you want throughout the time you're away. When you add all this to the sleek design that is attractive without being super slim and the outstanding and huge 2.5 inch screen you have got a belter of a package. Buy it and enjoy it. Rating:
