Reviewed by Hans-Peter Hubert on 24/11/2004 I bought this camera two weeks ago as an exchange for my three week old Canon A95. The Canon is a nice camera but it turned out that it was too heavy and too slow, and it lacks a battery status indicator. The Fuji E550 is more than 30% lighter, is much faster and has a lot of useful functions, similar to the Canon. It features picture quality modes up to 12 MP and ISO settings up to 800! Power consumption is good for 200 shots and an indicator warns on time of low batteries. What I don't like so far: the display is a bit poor in contrast and the mode wheel lock is a bit soft. However, a good and handy camera with a lot of features. Rating:
