The Fuji FinePix A600 is quite a large point and shoot digital camera. It is however a smart looking camera with a square design and smooth edges and comes in a silver finish. It has a large 2.4 in LCD screen which is good to be able to view the pictures in a clear and large screen.
With 6.3 megapixels, it is capable of printing quality pictures in A3 format without having a noticeable impairment to the picture. The Super CCD feature in the camera is enhanced by the 6 megapixels by creating photos that are crisp, clear and colourful.
The A600 has a typical optical zoom of 3.0 x which has the capacity for the picture to be enlarged 3 times with the optics of the camera. The digital zoom is 6.3 x which is the number of times that the picture is enlarged, although the resolution is lost the more times it is zoomed in as the picture is cropped during zoom.
The video resolution is quite poor in comparison with other point and shoot cameras although this is one of the cheaper in the range so it is more of an entry level specification with 320 x 240 pixels at 10 frames per second.
The interface type for this camera is USB, which is slower then the transfer rate of USB 2.0 which giver you 40 times faster rates. It also has a video out connection which enables you to view the video clips on a TV or PC screen.
Overall, this is a good value for money entry level point and shoot camera. For this price you get a typical zoom functionality, interface type and standard video resolution, and for more enhanced features you would need to spend slightly more.
