Reviewed by Tanny on 28/12/2004 I purchased this headunit in July 2003 because I was looking for a cheap MP3 player to bide my time before investing in a more expensive Alpine model. As it turns out I never needed to upgrade because the sound quality is awesome especially for the price. I first used this in an older car with factory doorspeakers and 8" midbass on the parcel shelf with a small subwoofer in the boot. The sound quality was awesome even from low rate MP3 tracks. Full of low bass and rich treble. The menu is user-friendly and the controls are very easy to learn. MP3 titles and folder names can be displayed or CD text programmed into the unit. A no-nonsense headunit which does what it says. I have recently purchased a 1999 Honda Civic with factory 6.5" speakers and the headunit sounds better than my previous setup! Very impressed with the clarity and have even heard notes in music I never realised were there. Well worth the money and highly recommended as a sub £150 MP3 player. Rating:
