Reviewed by Arnold on 02/12/2004 It's a nice device but I've got a problem with the DB348RMP. The MP3 starts to stutter, after 30min playing well. That's verry bad. :( I think the internal Amp is heating and that causes the problem. Rating:
Reviewed by LosBenitos on 05/11/2004 I've owned my DB348RMP for a over a year, and in that time I have had no problems with this unit at all. Plays all MP3 tracks I have put in it. Plays CDRWs which is what I use most of the time. Sound output is very good. Only gripe I have is that you can't specify the gap between tracks. I listen to dance mixes in which each track merges with the next without a "join". However, this unit will automatically insert a 2 second gap between tracks. I also own a Riovolt PSX100 portable MP3 player that plays the same discs I burn for this DB348RMP, and that allows me to set the gap to 0 so I don't have the problem. What Clarion needed to do was allow users to update the software in the unit to allow this bug to be ironed out (like Rio did with the PSX100). Other than that, I wouldnt hesitate in recommending this excellent player to anyone who wants MP3 playablity in the car without spending out a fortune! Rating:
