I too have the problem of only recording in audio. Only used the cam corder three times in the last 18 months I have owned it. Sony want about £180.00 as a standard charge to repair it.What a rip off. They know there are problems with these cam cords and still charge these exessive costs. I will not in principle buy Sony again. pete100@telefonica.net

i have had this camcorder for a year..it worked fine, but now its got the CCD issue which means ei can only record audio and no video thisis aknown problem of sony, for some camcorders and theyhave promised to repair free of cost on the website, but when i called support they say my model is not covered-ridiculous dont buy this model
