Reviewed by David Carter on 13-05-2004 The sony DCRDVD100 is a small lightweight camcorder. It is packed with features and very easy to use. Dvd funtion allows you to play your recordings on you dvd player. batteries are expensive but give you extended recording times, so they are well worth it. Some retailers are offering a free Dvd player with this purchase, so shop around. Rating:
Reviewed by Roger Young on 22-11-2003 The re-writable dvd media is not fully compatiable with standard DVD players. Magnavox is 1 known for sure to not be able to read the format properly - it will function partially however it jumps, pauses and will eventually stop altogether during attempted playback. Be sure to only buy Sony Brand "Info-Lithuim Ion" batteries for the camcorder as any other brand will not work even if it says "100% Sony Compatible" the key in in the "Info" as only the Sony brand contains circuitry to interface with the camcorder. The "lithium ion" (non-Sony) batteries that look almost exactly like the Sony brand will not charge in the in sony charger. Rating:
