GR-D50 is a superb camcorder, video quality is excellent but since it is not a still camera so the quality of still sucks actually. You need to have a seperate still camera for that purpose otherwise still is useless. Low light performance is ok not good but I can live with it. If you compare GR-D50 with TRV-19 then I would say that GR-D50 is better because of 16X optical zoom and USB streaming as TRV-19 does not have that much zoom and USB streaming. TRV-22 is of course better than GRD-50 in still and video quality but then JVC has GR-D70 as an answer to TRV-22. The more money you invest the more output you get in electronics but do research before buying. Zain
