This camcorder has excellent colour reproduction, focusing is great, and the camcorder is lightweight. Only thing that lets it down is the noise of the motor is audible (very slightly) on the recording and so is the zoom toggle. It has plenty of features, and when connected to a PC via Firewire, it's excellent, and Premiere can control the camera easily so DV to PC transfers are easy!

It's a very good camcorder. I've buy it in Italy for 649,00 euro. It have an analogic A/V ingress, which allow you to acquire from a VCR without any problem of A/V desyncronization. The photos'quality is poor, but record video in Mjpeg and DV with an excellent quality. It's a good camcorder axpecially for the zoom even if you must have a very firm hand to get exellent resoult at 22x.
